If you would like to raise funds within your company, there are many ways we can help you do that. Please, contact Dagmar Mekking at dagmar.mekking@care4brittlebones.org to explore ideas..
Here are a few examples how companies have raised funds research into Osteogenesis Imperfecta:
The Sound of …
We have organised charity concerts just like “The Voice of Holland”, but with the the voices of your colleagues who sing for Care4BrittleBones, supported by a live band and a professional singing coach. The events we have run so far are a way to celebrate the divers talents people have and generate a sense of pride and purpose within the company

Running events (CPC, Dam2Dam, Zwolle Half Marathon)
We also have worked with various companies who were up for a sports challenge. Running for those who (very often) can’t run: People with OI! Take up a challenge together with your colleagues! For example a Dam2Damloop. The team spirit built when teams take up a challenge together is absolutely amazing.

Celebration Gift / Seasonal celebration packages
When there is something to celebrate, it is a good tradition to also think of other people around you who may be in a less fortunate position. We have seen various companies donating to Care4BrittleBones at the occasion of a company celebration. Other companies provide a choice to their colleagues to receive a Christmas goody bag or provide a donation to a charity of their choice. In some cases companies organised a charity auction or raffle in relation to seasonal celebration events in support of research for OI.
Giving holidays instead of a cash-donation
In many companies staff have built up a significant back log of leave. A new trend in giving for companies is therefore to offer employees to give a “holiday” instead of a donation. We are happy to provide advice, how this can be enabled in your company too!
Goal of leaving colleagues
When colleagues are leaving they usually receive a gift of some kind. In various instances employees have opted for a donation to Care4BrittleBones instead of a conventional gift.
