Care4BrittleBones aims to improve the quality of life of people with Brittle Bones Disease

Researchers, Clinicians & Allied Health Professionals

We are keeping a data base of all researchers, clinicians and allied health care providers who have shown an active interest in OI. The database currently counts > 800 professionals worldwide and > 20 different disciplines. We update and refresh it on an ongoing basis. These professionals are incredibly important to us and we are very grateful for their often lifelong dedication to people with OI. We take an active role in connecting professional communities in webcasts and conferences as we believe that OI will strongly benefit from knowledge being sharing and learning together! All these activities are available for free, thanks to our donors.

Also we are enabling research (50% clinical research and 50% basic science) into OI through our Annual proposal round. Find out more HERE

An overview of our worldwide database

Most professionals we are aware of are based in Europe, US, Canada as well as Australia. The interest in the East is growing and catching up fast which is very good news for people living in these countries.

Important professional networks are the European Reference Networks, in particular ERN-BOND and Brittle Bones Disease Consortium BBDC. Foundational Care4BrittleBones is actively engaged in both of them.
